Christian Horner from Red Bull Racing cleared of alleged workplace misconduct.

This is an extremely interest case coming out of Europe.

The team principal of Red Bull Racing – Christian Horner who has been at the Milton Keynes-based team since 2005,  has been cleared by Red Bull of any wrongdoing after a workplace investigation into allegations of workplace misconduct made by a female employee.

The decision came as the 2024 F1 season was about to begin in Bahrain. An independent investigation involved an eight-hour meeting with Horner.

Red Bull racing released a statement stating that the employee who made the allegation can appeal their ruling, but they believe the investigation has been thorough.

“The independent investigation into the allegations made against Mr Horner is complete, and Red Bull can confirm that the grievance has been dismissed,” the statement read.

“The complainant has a right of appeal. Red Bull is confident that the investigation has been fair, rigorous and impartial.

“The investigation report is confidential and contains the private information of the parties and third parties who assisted in the investigation, and therefore we will not be commenting further out of respect for all concerned.”

This allegation first came to light in February 2024 when a Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf reported that Christian Horner was being investigated by Red Bull  Racing.

The report stated a female employee had reported workplace misconduct against Horner to the parent company, which led to an independent investigation and involved an eight-hour interview with the team principal.

It was later revealed that the alleged behaviour involved sexual misconduct.

We will keep an eye on this case.
